Suddenly, I'm not really looking forward to it anymore.

I think what Gaga is trying to do is very interesting. She seems to be trying to redefine the concept of ‘beauty’ and pushing for this fantastic, grotesque aesthetic, while singing pop-friendly, even slightly cheesy songs. It definitely seems more artsy than main stream and it’s interesting how beyonce and rihanna seems to have caught on to this particular aesthetic.

What a nice song. Maybe I'll buy her new album too.

Sg's weather has been so gloomy, I need to remind myself to carry a permanent umbrella in my bag.

I'm already looking forward to Xmas, though it makes me melancholic whenever I think of it.

I watched De-Lovely with my mama last night and I'm glad she liked it a lot. As we were swooning over the beautiful beautiful 30s/40s costumes and decor, she was telling me how she loved to watch all the old Hollywood movies in the theaters when she was young. She believes that it was due to their influence that she started to like matching colors for her clothes and house decor lol. She was even cool with the whole depiction of Cole Porter as a homosexual. We watched and talked about her ex-boyfriends, pretty clothes she used to wear, pretty clothes she still wears (lol), her sisters' love lives, glamorous movie stars smoking and drinking, wearing beautiful PJs, how you should love a man all those girl talk.

NPH is truly awesome whether as Barney or IRL. I'm watching HIMYM Season 4 and also find it so so adorable to see Barney head over heels for Robin. I can't wait to see him do more amazing things.

I was watching the latest episode of 星光大道 and one of the judges commented that 李杰宇's special characteristic is being very 卡 when he sings, meaning to say he sings like staccato, each verse is disconnected from the other. Tao zi then said, "最近不是有一个Lady Gaga吗？那你就是Gentleman 卡卡！"

hurhurhur. ok lar, it sounds more funny when she said it.

1) Life is perfect for a little while because I'm having Coffee Bean's Caesar salad with salmon (which imo, remains the best version I've had ever since miss chen introduced it to me) and Mr Bean's Icy Mocha Soya drink together. Yum.

2) The weather is perfect with the warm rays of sunshine and lazy afternoon breeze. And when the weather is perfect, the world seems perfect and peaceful too.

3) It always makes me smile to see kids tug their parent's hand and point at the beetle whenever I drive it out. I told my dad before that maybe it was because the front of the car looks like a big smiley face. He offered to give me the car next time. With a grin on his face and a twinkle in his eye -.-~

4) I'm finishing my salad :( Must learn how to make my own salad TCB-style! Oh no!!! I just realised they no longer put in cherry tomatoes! And they dare to up the price !!

5) I want to go to Paris.

6) And maybe bump  into him :D

10 hours after watching Capturing the Friedmans, I'm still thinking about the film and the family. I went to Jesse Friedman's website, looked at his honeymoon photos, checked out every site link, read over 25 reviews of the movie, read the letters the victims wrote to the Academy Awards Committee, read various articles on the film and I still cannot make sense of how everything could go so wrong in this family. Indeed, real-life stories make for the most compelling tales.

There are so many issues packed in this 2 hours film, that I cannot get it out of my head despite watching japanese drama Boss in an attempt to switch to a more light-hearted subject. It is undoubtably one of the best films I have watched even if I just base it on the impact and reaction it drew out from me, without even going into its subject matter and its treatment of it and the family members themselves.

Once again, I am in awe of the power of the documentary.

District 9 is not a pretty movie but it's a beautiful work of story telling. 
It's inspiring. I need to watch more films.

Watching this movie left me with a dull ache in my heart.

Awesome show. Awesome music. Awesome man.
I'm so so glad they managed to come to Singapore for their farewell tour.
Trent and his band were amazing. You have got to give them credit for taking only a 5 min break in a 2h powerpacked, head-banging, go-all-out show. And for making grown men around me tear (me included) when he sang his last song 'hurt'. I believe it accompanied many of us when we were low and down.
A solid show from a true musician, who after all these years is still so into his music, I couldn't help but be moved by him. 
This is the real deal.
